Here is the link to a nice article about the upcomming New England Watercolor Society show at the Attleboro Arts Museum with a picture of the painting I had accepted and is also a prize winner.
Here is what the girls and I will be painting in Watercolor class this week.  Borrowed from my neighbor I think it might be a little bit challenging, I only hope I can teach it well enough because I think it came out really great.  I will probubly do this subject again at a later date and do it in a more close up way, like I did the previous painting of the guitar.

My painting "Lectric" was accepted into the New England Watercolor Society juried national show and I got the call yesterday that it also won the "Cheap Joes Merchandise Award". I am super excited about that. I am so very happy just to get my painting in. Show opens this weekend with an awards ceremony on Sunday the 29th.

This weeks watercolor class we worked on Masa paper, a japanese rice paper first crumpling in water, splashing paint on the wrong side, mounting it to a cold press watercolor paper and then painting on the right side. Mostly negative painging and a lot of fun!

More pickles, these are way to much fun to paint.

No new painting to post because I am working on three different pickle paintings that will be finished this week in my watercolor painting class, so I though I would post an old favorite that I did now hanging in a friends home. "Emily" is the tractor I passed year after year at a farm down the street. About a year ago I saw a truck hauling her away and it made me sad to think what was to come of that farm. Sure enough, there are now 4 houses there with more to come. I sure to miss seeing that old girl and the beautiful pasture that once was.
