This weeks watercolor class will be azalias which I painted on hot press paper, something I have not done in a long long time.  Both close ups of flowers and that kind of paper.  I found it to be a lot of fun.
I need to tell my friend Chris thankyou because when she was not home today I stopped over to photograph her plants before the rain started.

While gallery sitting at Patriot Place Gallery this weekend I painted these chickens.  I guess because I was missing little Paisley, Peanut and Zulo, the baby chicks I am foster raising at home.  They will probubly be leaving me this weekend to go live in their new coop.

I was thinking back today of a cable show I did a few years back and thought I should probubly add a link from my blog.  So here you go.  If you just scroll down the list and when you get to my piece all you need to do is click on the title "Along the way1409" and you can watch.  Enjoy!  I would love to know what you think.

"Lemons and Lilacs" was painted this week in class with the little time we had after finishing the violin.  The paintings of the lilacs actually looked better than the real thing, for some reason this year they were not very full and they did not last even 2 days in the vase.

"Sticks and Stoneware"  Here is a painting I was playing with this week, it is on a new surface for me, it is called Aquaboard.  It almost feels like hot pressed paper in that it is very easy to lift off the paint.  The Masonite board is covered in a clay.  I really liked it and have ordered a bunch more.  I'm looking forward to seeing what will come of this new thing for me.  There will be no need for glass or a mat, the painting can be sprayed with fixative and framed like an oil painting.
